Giving hope to underprivileged youth.

The discipline, companionship, and routine of the partnership between horse and rider helps promote self-esteem, patience, confidence, and greatly fosters independence. By sharing this opportunity, we promote taking the road less traveled for greater personal achievement.

Hope, Healing and Hooves is a non-profit organization allowing children the opportunity to interact with horses to enrich their lives.

The primary focus is on enriching the lives of underprivileged youth. They are elementary students who have experienced trauma or other difficult events in their lives. We provide them with a wholesome activity to keep them on the right track.

Currently, we are working with Spring Branch ISD and Spring Shadows Elementary. A SBISD bus provides the students and teachers a ride to and from the program after school.

Our Vision

Our vision is to help every inner child grow into a whole being. To do this, we must address every aspect of their life including emotional, physical, and social factors.

Through special relationships with our equine, we are assisting individuals in their development into wonderful, productive beings.
In the words of Winston Churchill “There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.” The essential joy of being with horses brings us in contact with the rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit, and freedom. We build confidence, self-esteem, improve social skills, and help all make positive changes in their lives. Our environment provides a unique setting that enables us to work out issues on many different levels.

Hope, Healing, and Hooves is a year round program that promotes physical activity. Because of the close approximation between the horse and riders body the rhythmic motion of riding enhances the riders muscle tone, balance, and flexibility. The discipline, companionship, and routine of the partnership between horse and rider helps promote self-esteem, patience, confidence, and greatly fosters independence. By sharing this opportunity, we promote taking the road less traveled for greater personal achievement.

Student Program

After the gearing up, grooming and tacking their horses, the students are split into two groups. Alternating between riding, horsemanship skills, and working towards scholastic material (horse activity workbooks).

Activities include working towards teaching students the proper way to mount, control their horse at a walk, and sometimes trot.
